Chiropractic care at Greater Rochester Chiropractic (GRC)
We utilize only evidence-based chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic care have chiropractors been able to provide the level of help and expertise that is available today. Many of the newest chiropractic techniques are safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As chiropractors who care about utilizing the most advanced chiropractic techniques, the doctors at GRC collectively have over 70 years of training, expertise and experience in helping patients get pain relief for back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Chiropractic care under a trained professional can even be used to prevent injuries and help you achieve total health and wellness.
We also provide the following services:
Massage therapy does more than make you feel good, it can actually help your body achieve balance and health. Massage therapy offers a natural treatment approach which actually relieves musculoskeletal pain for many patients. Our chiropractic office provides specific massage and muscular therapy that is complementary to their chiropractic care. Each massage therapy plan is tailored to meet the patient's unique condition or injury. The benefits of massage therapy may include: increase of blood circulation, localized reduction in swelling, or the relaxation of muscles. Massage has been known to relieve muscle pain and spasms, increase a person's range of motion, while also aiding in a patient's recovery. Some investigative studies have even indicated that a single session of massage may help boost your immune system!
All massage therapy sessions are provided in a professional environment located in separate massage therapy suites at GRC. Our licensed massage therapists are highly skilled and personal modesty is respected at all times.

Yoga by Orlee at GRC
Orlee Stekel-Perna is our certified Yoga instructor. Our patients benefit greatly from her yoga classes. Her classes are done in a small group setting of only five or six participants. They are conducted in our rehab area with low lighting to create a relaxed atmosphere. You do not have to be an experienced yoga person to join her classes. She will tailor her instruction to your level of need and ability.
You can sign up for yoga classes at our front desk or call GRC at (585) 442-3220.
Many of our patients come to see our us to address a specific pain symptom such as back pain, neck pain or headaches. While a chiropractor will address each patient's specific condition with chiropractic care, we often find it helpful to "coach" our patients toward achieving a healthier lifestyle. For example, there may be certain activities that you should avoid or do differently to prevent yourself from unintentionally aggravating your particular health challenges. The goal of including lifestyle advice with a chiropractic care plan is to help each and every patient achieve the fulfilling and happy lifestyle they deserve—one that is full of the activities that are enjoyed most. We recognize that every single one of our patients is a whole person, and we use our expertise to help them reach total health and wellness.
There is a saying that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Your spinal health is no exception. Workshops as well as Posture and spinal screenings by one of our chiropractors at Dr. Michael Maiorano can help reveal important health information, unlocking the door to improved health and well-being. In order to help the Rochester community, we provide workshops, screenings at area malls, community events, health fairs and places of employment. Since GRC does not advertise, we conduct these events at no-charge. We feel that the more people we can educate about the benefits of chiropractic care, the greater the chance that they will choose us for their care. Contact us today at (585) 442-3220 to arrange a workshop or screening at your event or workplace.
